A cabin suitcase in anodised aluminium, with the vertical grooves RIMOWA borrowed in 1950 from the Junkers F13, an all-metal aircraft. The grooves stiffen the thin shell, and the case has hardly changed since.
The handle stops at any height, the wheels run on ball bearings, and both locks are TSA-approved. It measures 55 × 40 × 23 cm and comes with a lifetime guarantee.
